Westport police are trying to identify a suspect who may be involved in a series of car break-ins reported over the past two weeks.

Police have received at least 14 reports of breaks since Sunday, Sept. 24, with residents on Ridgeline Drive, Jordans Way, American Legion Highway, Sodom Road, Monique Drive and Robert Street reporting that items were taken from their vehicles overnight. The most recent report was Sunday, Oct. 1.

In all cases, police said all vehicles involved had been unlocked. Detectives have been going door to door and looking through surveillance footage to help identify a suspect. If you recognize this person or van, contact Detective Turner Ryan at 508-636-1122.
