Posted

Police officers surrounded a home at 37 Warren Ave. in downtown Warren early Tuesday morning, during a standoff that ended when a suspect surrended peacefully.

A neighbor across the street said officers knocked on their door and asked them to leave the area while the standoff continued. The witness and her young son were escorted away from the scene on foot by officers carrying shields. The witness said the entire street was cordoned off until the suspect was taken into custody and they were allowed to return home.

Two officers were still at the scene at around 10 a.m. Warren Police are expected to release more information later today.
