Warren PD: Eight arrested last week, including multiple DUIs

Monday, Jan. 29
A purse that was found in the parking lot on Joyce Street and returned to the owner later was found to have missing items from it at 8:13 a.m.

Items were reportedly stolen from a vehicle on Union Street at 8:43 a.m.

Susan Salvatore, 61, of 28 Third St., #207, Warren, was arrested following an incident on Bay Road at 11:10 a.m. They were charged with one count of disorderly conduct and were released that afternoon.

Items were reportedly stolen from a vehicle on Child Street at 12:02 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 30
A pair of Bridge Street residents came into HQ at 3:21 p.m. to report they had a purse stolen the prior week.

A Warren Avenue resident called police at 7:00 p.m. believing their vehicle had been stolen. The caller was later advised the car had been towed.

A Tip411 report indicated at 7:35 p.m. that there was a man in a silver SUV exposing himself to people on Water Street. Police looked in the area but found no one or any vehicle matching the description.

Wednesday, Jan. 31
Heater M. Martino, 45, of 62 Town House Rd., East Providence, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on New Meadow Road at 12:28 a.m. She was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. She was arraigned and released later that morning.

Police caught up with a shoplifting suspect on Child Street at 12:13 p.m. who reportedly ran out of a store. No arrest was logged following the incident.

A Cutler Street resident reported at 6:09 p.m. that a package they were expecting, which contained prescription medication, appeared to have been stolen.

Fire personnel responded to Child Street at 8:19 p.m. following an alarm going off. They found that people were “melting lead” in the basement of the building. One was transported to the hospital as a result of the incident.

Thursday, Feb. 1
An employee of a business on Main Street reported at 10:03 a.m. that a man had been entering a property they owned and sleeping in there at night. They requested a no trespass order.

Brian A. DuPuis, 57, of 45 Catherine St., Bristol, was arrested following an incident on Child Street at 11:36 a.m. He was charged with two counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, and disorderly conduct, both first offenses). He turned himself in for the arrest, and was transported to district court later that afternoon.

Devin P. Vieira, 25, of 359 Child St., Apt. #3R, Warren, was arrested following an incident on Child Street at 9:20 p.m. He was charged with two counts of possession of a schedule I-V substance (first offense), and two counts of domestic violence (vandalism, and disorderly conduct, both first offenses). He was transported to the hospital and then transported to district court later the following morning.

Jose Collado, 39, of 52 Fairmount Ave., Apt. #2, Providence, was arrested at 11:05 p.m. by Cumberland PD in that town on a warrant active out of Warren. He was picked up by Warren PD early the following morning and was charged with embezzlement and fraudulent conversion, and was later transported to district court.

Friday, Feb. 2
An injured opossum was reportedly in a driveway on Seymour Street at 7:44 a.m. It was transported to an animal shelter later that morning.

James E. Bergeron, 46, of 11 Ellis Ave., Apt. #2, Warren, was arrested near Wood and Barney Streets at 5:16 p.m. following a report they had gotten into an argument between someone who had a no contact order against him. He was charged with domestic violence (criminal violation of a no contact order, 3rd+ offense). He was arraigned and transported to the ACI that evening.

Saturday, Feb. 3
Daniel J. Wilkinson, 38, of 20 Croade St., Apt. #2F, Warren, was arrested at 12:35 a.m. near Railroad Avenue and Child Street following a motor vehicle stop. He was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. He was arraigned and released later that morning.

Sunday, Feb. 4
Cody M. Joly, 18, of 25 Homestead Ave., Warren, was arrested at 3:00 p.m. following an incident on Homestead Avenue. They were charged with one count of domestic violence (disorderly conduct, first offense). They were arraigned and released later that evening.
