Warren PD: Warren resident arrested twice in three days

Monday, March 28
DPW was advised of a street sign that had gone down in the area of Child and Cole Streets at 10:36 a.m.

Police went to disperse an unwanted intoxicated person from a location on Fifth Street at 12:41 p.m., but they were gone upon police arrival.

Jennifer Machado, 41, of Warren, was arrested at 10:56 p.m. on Buffalo Avenue following the report of a domestic incident that resulted in the transfer of one person to the hospital. She was charged with assaulting a person older than 60 and causing bodily injury, simple assault and/or battery (first offense), and disorderly conduct (first offense). She was arraigned and sent to the hospital.

Tuesday, March 29
DOT was advised of a large pothole near Main and Miller Streets at 8:40 a.m.

A person came into police headquarters on Joyce Street at 9:52 a.m. with an injured bird. It was transported to a wildlife rehabilitation facility shortly after.

A caller on Cutler Street reported at 12:48 p.m. that their apartment had been broken into and their identification was stolen.

Tyrell Jones, 35, of Warren, was arrested on Child Street at 2:41 p.m. following the report of two parents fighting. He was charged with simple assault and/or battery (first offense), refusal to relinquish/damage to/obstructing a telephone (first offense), and disorderly conduct (first offense). He was arraigned and released later that evening.

Police dispersed a skateboarder who was skating in a church parking lot on Main Street at 5:09 p.m.

A caller on Croade Street reported multiple people caught on the security camera in her backyard at 10:39 p.m., and was unsure if they were still there. A police search did not locate the individuals.

Wednesday, March 30
Two individuals were arrested following a motor vehicle stop at Market and John Streets at 12:41 a.m. Charles Walason, 49, of Bristol, was charged with a bench warrant issued from the 6th District Court. Jennifer Machado, 41, of Warren, was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC of .15 or higher, first offense).

A neighborly dispute involving one person being yelled at on Croade Street while taking out the garbage was investigated by Warren police at 9:51 a.m.

Thursday, March 31
A caller on Federal Street reported at 6:44 a.m. that their neighbor was shooting off fireworks in the backyard. Policer advised the person to stop it.

A tractor trailer was reported at 8:57 a.m. to be having difficulty taking a tight turn at Arlington Avenue and Kickemuit Road. The incident resulted in a diversion of traffic and a road sign being knocked down.

A caller on Main Street reported at 2:14 p.m. that they were concerned a refrigerator left on the sidewalk might be a safety hazard. Police ensured that the fridge was secure and not a danger.

At 2:26 p.m. police dispersed motorists on Metacom Avenue who were involved in a road rage incident that began in Bristol.

A caller on Child Street reported that two people were seen outside of a shop and one appeared to be putting an item inside their backpack. Police didn’t find anything at the scene.

A Libby Lane resident reported a person possibly trying to dupe people out of money through a Publishers Clearing House scam at 8:48 p.m. She wisely gave no information to the scammer.

Friday, April 1
Police received a report from a concerned Baker Street caller at 12:06 p.m. that an injured dove may have been stuck in a flower pot, but the K9 officer reported that the animal flew away with no issues.

Fraudulent credit card activity was reported on Child Street at 5:57 p.m.

Suspicious vehicles were dispersed from the Water Street area at 10:04 p.m.

Saturday, April 2
Kyle Berube, 23, of Swansea, Mass., was arrested following a motor vehicle stop at Main Street and Jacobs Point at 2:09 a.m. He was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC .10-.15, first offense). He was arraigned and released later that morning.

A caller reported at 9:40 a.m. that juveniles were operating motorized vehicles on the bike path. No one was found when police responded.

A Cottage Street resident reported at 7:45 p.m. that someone had broken one of her windows while she was away.

Police quieted down a noisy neighbor on Davis Street at 9:20 p.m.

Sunday, April 3
Police received reports at 1:00 a.m. of several cows being loose in the area of Barton Avenue and Long Lane. A person responsible for the bovine was notified.

Police dispersed a vehicle that was playing loud music and driving around the neighborhood of Davis Street at 5:33 a.m.

An accident occurred on Market Street at 3:53 p.m. resulting in two people and two dogs being transported for medical evaluation. Nicholas Couto, 30, of Warren, was arrested as a result and charged with his third offense of driving with an invalid license.

A call at 7:56 p.m. from Main Street originally reported what they thought was two gunshots. Through investigating, police found out the noise was from fireworks.
