Warren PD seize ounces of drugs, over 1,500 pills during traffic stop

Posted

On Oct. 22, 2021, officers conducted a motor vehicle stop in the Town of Warren after receiving a complaint of an erratic operator. Upon the motor vehicle being stopped, the female operator was identified as Nicole Brothers, 39, from New Bedford, Mass., who was then taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.

Upon officers conducting an inventory search of the vehicle being operated by Brothers, a large amount of narcotics and a scale were located in the vehicle along with a firearm later found to be a Smith & Wesson M & P BB handgun. The seized drugs included 9 ounces of Crystal meth, 66 grams of heroin, 1.5 ounces of cocaine and approximately 1,500 pills. In addition to this, an additional ten other types of pills were seized as well.

Ms. Brothers was arraigned later that night by a Justice of the Peace and she was then transported to the A.C.I. after being held without bail. Ms. Brothers was formally arraigned at Sixth District Court earlier today on three (3) counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, one (1) count of Possessing a Dangerous Weapon When Committing a Crime of Violence and one (1) count of Driving Under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol (B.A.C. Unknown) – 1st Offense and continued to be held without bail due to the severity of the charges. Additional charges may be forthcoming upon the results of the ongoing investigation.
