Barrington Public Schools earn top ranking

Barrington Public Schools are number one.

According to Niche.com’s Best Schools in America rankings, Barrington Public Schools are number one in Rhode Island and number 296 in the United States. 

Niche.com, which was previously known as the company College Prowler, included nearly 11,000 schools in its national rankings. 

Niche.com included a full report card for each school district. Barrington received an A-plus overall and an A-plus for its academics and its college preparedness for students. It earned an A for its teachers, and clubs and activities, and an A-minus for administration and sports. Its lowest grades were for food (B-minus) and diversity (C).

Barrington also ranked number one in Rhode Island for Best School Districts offering AP Courses. 

Following is the top-10 school districts overall in Rhode Island, according to Niche.com:

1. Barrington

2. East Greenwich

3. North Kingstown

4. Narragansett

5. Foster Glocester

6. Portsmouth

7. Exeter-West Greenwich

8. Cumberland

9. Smithfield

10. Blackstone Valley Prep
