The Barrington High School boys tennis team cruised to a 4-0 win over Moses Brown in the Division I semifinals on Tuesday, May 28.
The Eagles, playing in front of a hometown crowd, secured wins at third and fourth singles and first and second doubles.
They will compete for the state title against the winner of the LaSalle vs. Lincoln semifinal. The state championship match is scheduled for Saturday, June 1 at Slater Park in Pawtucket at 3 p.m.
Against Moses Brown, Barrington enjoyed wins in both singles and doubles matches. The Eagles’ Jeremy Kuo defeated Jack Willimann at number three singles, 6-2, 6-1, and Vineet Abbineni defeated Aiden Spencer at number four singles, 6-1, 6-0.
Gabe Anderson and Bryce Kupperman won their match at number one doubles, defeating Alex Hopkins and Subhau Parajoli, 6-0, 6-2. Garrett Meehan and Justin Kuo won their match at number two doubles. The Barrington duo defeated MB’s Christian Schultheis and Axel Lundin, 6-1, 6-3.
