Car crumpled during fender-bender with truck in Barrington

Accident occurs near Barrington High School property

Posted

Barrington Police responded to an accident on Lincoln Avenue on Tuesday morning, March 26.

A large truck collided with the rear-end of a silver sedan just west of the Barrington High School property. It appeared that both vehicles were traveling east when the collision occurred.

The sedan took the worst of the damage — the back end of the vehicle was crumpled and the rear window shattered. The collision appeared to send the sedan careening into a utility pole on the south side of Lincoln Avenue.

A witness said there was hardly a mark on the truck following the crash.

A short time later, a flat-bed tow truck hauled the silver sedan away from the scene.
