The Barrington High School boys lacrosse team defeated North Kingstown, 16-4, in a Division I playoff quarterfinal game on Friday, May 24. Barrington was scheduled to play against LaSalle in the state semifinals on Tuesday, May 28, at Cranston Stadium at 5 p.m.
Barrington had three players score three goals each: Colin Hope, Nick Spaight and Ben Parylak. Dylan Edwards and Onson Tieu each scored two goals, and Peyton Hillier, Jake Ignall and Quinn McNamara scored single goals in the victory.
Hope also led the Eagles with four assists. Other BHS players to tally assists were McNamara, Tieu, Parylak, Ignall and Spaight. Tieu and Matt Pickering shared face-off duties — Tieu was 14-for-14 and Pickering was 4-for-9.
Grant Isdale make 10 saves in net for the Eagles. The win over the Skippers was the first time Barrington finished a game without a penalty.
