Bristol police made seven arrests and responded to multiple reports of people fighting between May 20-27, 2024.

Bristol PD: Police make seven arrests, break up multiple fights

Monday, May 20

Graffiti was reported on the Bristol State House on High Street at 8:55 a.m.

Damage to a window at a property on Easterbrooks Avenue was reported at 4:06 p.m.

Police spoke with people near Cedar Smoke & Vape on Metacom Avenue at 8:17 p.m. following a report of loud music and cars revving from the back of a building.

Tuesday, May 21

Police responded to State and Hope Streets at 8:48 a.m. for the report of two men fighting in the street. As a result, Justin C. LaFleur, 20, of 254 Wood St., Apt. #2S, Bristol, and Deven J. White, born 2001, of 501 Walcott St., Pawtucket, were arrested. They were both charged with one count of disorderly conduct.

Police received a report from DPW personnel at 9:54 a.m. after a vehicle allegedly drove through a coned off area near St. Elizabeth’s Church on Wood Street as they were painting a crosswalk.

Damage to a garage window was reported on Westwood Road at 7:34 p.m.

Police looked for the rider of a dirt bike on Platt Street at 7:37 p.m. after they received a report they were riding in a person’s back yard.

Wednesday, May 22

Police dispersed a car from Jane Lane at 3:26 a.m. after receiving a report it had been there for the past hour.

Police were called to Anchorage Court at 1:21 p.m. after a neighbor was aggrieved that a neighbor was trimming branches from bushes on their property. They were advised to handle the civil matter themselves.

DEM was notified of baby raccoons in the area of Bristol Landing on Metacom Avenue at 8:20 p.m. The animals headed into the nearby woods without issue.

DEM police responded to Colt State Park at 8:30 p.m. for a report that underage kids were drinking.

Thursday, May 23

A trailer was reportedly damaged by a bad pothole on Reservoir Avenue at 9:52 a.m.

A sick woodchuck was reported on Sherry Avenue at 10:32 a.m.

Kate I. Stanley, 43, of 66 Hall St., Fall River, Mass., was arrested following an incident on Tina Court at 9:15 p.m. She was charged with two counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, and disorderly conduct, both first offenses).

Friday, May 24

Fraudulent checks were reported at Stop & Shop on Metacom Avenue at 12:44 p.m.

A caller reported at 1:14 p.m. that the Silver Creek Park on Hope Street appeared to have been vandalized with graffiti.

Charles E. Walmsley, 49, of 60 Court St., Bristol, was arrested on an affidavit warrant out of Newport, RI at 4:59 p.m. He was later transferred to the custody of Newport PD.

A fight that was reportedly occurring inside and outside of Aidan’s Pub & Grill was reported at 10:59 p.m.

Saturday, May 25

Police responded to Coelho Park on Jenny Lane at 10:13 a.m. for a report of a “loud conversation in the park.”

Euclides S. Mauricio Pereira, born 1994, of 358 Coffin Ave., #APT1, New Bedford, Mass., was arrested at the Town Beach at 7:24 p.m. He was charged with DUI of liquor or drugs (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a chemical test (first offense).

Sunday, May 26

Jill E. Jordan, born 1979, of 12 Warren Ave., Warren, was arrested on Hope Street at 1:36 a.m. and charged with DUI of liquor or drugs (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a chemical test (first offense).

Christoper Roffo, 57, of 145 Franklin St., Apt. #1, Bristol, was arrested following a disturbance on Franklin Street at 5:27 a.m. He was charged with one count of disorderly conduct and was later released.

Damage to property on Wapping Drive was reported at 9:40 a.m.

Police dispersed people from the Lincoln Club on St. Elizabeth Street at 11:14 p.m. following the report of an active fight happening.
