We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the incredible support that the Bristol and Warren communities have shown the Brian Latessa family during this difficult time. A special thank you to the Bristol Police Department and Bristol Rescue providers for their swift and courageous efforts to save his life.

We are also deeply grateful to George Lima for his assistance in planning the services and to the staff and students at Mt. Hope High School for their beautiful tributes.

We appreciate our friends, neighbors, and the former teachers and students from Wilbraham and Monson Academy for paying their respects and sharing their heartfelt memories. Everyone’s support means so much to us.

We also want to thank the Davock family and Market Street Pub for their fundraising efforts for his scholarship fund, as well as all community members who have shared memories, provided nourishment, sent flowers, and contributed to the scholarship. Your kindness has been a blessing to us, and we are truly thankful for each and every one of you. Brian’s legacy will live on through the memories, jokes, teaching, coaching and kindness he shared with all of us.

The Brian Latessa Memorial scholarship will be awarded to two graduating Mt. Hope High School seniors. The first scholarship is open to all graduating senior wrestlers attending a two- or four-year college. The second scholarship is open to all seniors who have participated at least two years (junior and senior years) in the HNN Broadcasting Program and who will be pursuing a degree in Broadcasting.
