PORTSMOUTH — Eight different Patriots scored as the Portsmouth High varsity boys’ hockey team blanked the Mt. Hope-East Providence co-op squad, 9-0 in the home opener at Portsmouth Abbey on Saturday. 

Freshman Chase Pascoe scored two goals and Henri Boneu, Hadrian Doughtry, Steve Madden, Shane Temple, Hayden Krzych, Dan Biello, Ben West all scored a goal apiece for Portsmouth. 

They blistered Huskies’ goaltender Kayden Carney with 38 shots and scored five in the first period, three in the second and one in the third.

The Patriots will next face Coventry at 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, at the Benny Magiera Ice Rink in West Warwick.
