BRISTOL — The Portsmouth Major Little League All-Stars are going to the state tournament.
They beat Bristol/Warren 8-4 on Saturday in Bristol for the District 2 Major All-Star championship.
Portsmouth advances to the state tournament starting this Saturday, July 23, at Lee Romano Field, 442 Woonasquatucket Ave., North Providence.
The team will face the District 4 champs, Cumberland, at 4 p.m. The winner gets to play again at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 25.
