Remembering Wilson Furtado
Wilson Furtado passed away in July following a two-year battle of esophageal cancer, leaving behind his wife, three young daughters, his mom, his sister, family and countless friends. Diagnosed in July 2020, he faced his diagnosis with grace and bravery.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mount Hope Farm, which generously donated the space to host this event. This will be a fun family day, with cornhole, face painting, kids games and more.
The DMB Project and John Tyler will perform live, and there will be food by SS Dion and CP Catering, and drinks by Two Gals Cocktails and Pivotal Brewing (please, no outside food). This is a fundraiser to benefit the Wilson Furtado Memorial Trust. All funds collected will go directly into the trust to offset educational needs for his children and to seed an annual scholarship in Wilson's name.
