With the Labor Day holiday shortening the election cycle, Friday is the last day to take advantage of the early primary voting opportunity, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Reynolds School building at 235 High Street.
Primary Election Day is Tuesday, Sept. 5, and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Note that polling locations have been combined for this election only.
If you normally vote at Rockwell or Guiteras Schools, you will be joining the voters at the Fire Department Headquarters at 4 Annawamscutt Drive.
If you normally vote at Roger Williams University or Franklin Court, you will be joining the voters at St Elizabeth Auditorium at 577 Wood Street.
If you normally vote at Mt. Hope High School, you will be joining the voters at the Quinta-Gamelin Center at 101 Asylum Road.
These changes only apply to this special election cycle.
The Special General Election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 7 (7 a.m. to 8 p.m.), at these same combined polling locations. Early voting for the General Election will be available Oct. 18 through Nov. 6, again at the Reynolds School building from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. Oct. 17 is the deadline to request a mail ballot.
