EAST PROVIDENCE — The 2022 edition of the East Providence School Department's annual "Townie Pride" Parade was held Friday, Oct. 21, at Pierce Memorial Stadium prior to the high school football game between the locals and Burrilville.

The event, as always, included the procession of students, parents and staff from each of the city's nine buildings as well as the "Tiny Townies" Pre-K program.

The district administration for the first time was led by new superintendent Dr. Sandra Forand.

The EPHS contingent as usual included the "Pride of East Providence" marching band unit. And also for the first time, the fledgling EPHS student sports booster group, "The Herd," was part of the event festivities.
