To the editor:
Now that the East Providence High School is up and running and has beautiful athletic fields on campus, what is the fate of the iconic Pierce Field?
Will it be used for community events as in the many years past or will it be taken over by a private firm or
professional soccer leagues?
Many long term residents and the neighborhood residents would like to know.
It is an iconic piece of EP history built by the WPA during the great depression of the thirties and still
standing.
