Portsmouth High volleyball team falls to Townies, 3-2 (photos)

PORTSMOUTH — The Patriots’ varsity girls’ volleyball team lost a non-conference match against East Providence on the road Friday night, 3-2.

The Patriots are now in fourth place in the state championship division with a 2-3 record (2-5 overall). The team has recorded wins over Prout and West Warwick.

Portsmouth will travel to Cranston East for a 6:30 p.m. game on Monday, Sept. 26, and then to East Greenwich on Wednesday, Sept. 28. Both games are at 6:30 p.m.

The Patriots will host Classical in the field house at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, then travel to Coventry for a 6:30 p.m. match on Wednesday, Oct. 5. Portsmouth is back home on Friday, Oct. 7, to host Mount Saint Charles at 6:30 p.m.
