To the editor:
Since early July, I have placed a series of political signs in my family’s front yard in Common Fence Point. The first one, “Choose democracy over dictatorship: Vote Biden,” lasted all of eight days.
Now on Aug. 19, our “Harris for President,” along with a’ second “Choose democracy …” sign have disappeared. The Harris sign did not even make it 24 hours.

It is truly a sign of fear or dictatorial control when there is an attempt to eliminate contrary views. How sad that in America, some people don’t understand the concept of free speech.
In a couple months, we’ll see if free speech becomes a thing of the past or not.
In the meantime I’m just asking, “Donald, please get your folks to stop the stealing.”
