PORTSMOUTH — A 46-year-old Middletown man was arrested on domestic violence charges twice within six hours last week.

Officers responded to a Jesse Drive home at about 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they determined that Adam Patrick Laurin, 46, of 135 Miantonomi Ave., Middletown, was the primary aggressor, police said.

Laurin was charged with domestic assault upon a 52-year-old woman who lives in Portsmouth, police said.

Laurin was arrested again about six hours later (on Thursday, June 13), after officers were called back to the home for a report of another domestic disturbance in progress.

Upon arrival, the victim told them Laurin had already fled on foot, and the Middletown Police Department’s K9 unit was contacted for assistance. Laurin was located and charged with domestic breaking and entering into a home without consent, and violating a no-contact order, police said.

Here are some other recent arrests made by the Portsmouth Police Department:

Monday, June 10

Jill Kristen Carlton, 26, of 25 Leland Point Drive, was charged with domestic disorderly conduct. The arrest was made after officers responded to Carlton’s home at about 6:20 p.m. to investigate a report of a domestic dispute. Officers determined on the scene that Carlton had been the primary aggressor, according to police. She was held at the police station pending her arraignment by a justice of the peace, police said.

Aman was pulled over for an equipment violation on East Main Road at Quaker Lane around 6:30 a.m., and a routine records check revealed his driver’s license had been revoked and that he had an active warrant for his arrest, police said. Aman was transported to 2nd District Court, where he was turned over to the Rhode Island Sheriff’s Office, police said.

Sergio Manuel Rodrigues, 44, of no permanent address, was charged with a sex offender registration violation after officers with the R.I. Violent Fugitive Task Force responded to a Botelho Drive home at about 10:30 a.m. The Portsmouth Police Detective Division had issued an arrest warrant because Rodrigues failed to report a change of address, according to police.

Michael Alexander Uriati, 20, of 1 Tall Pines Drive, Barrington, was charged with possession of false identification; and driving under the influence (DUI), first offense, following a motor vehicle stop on West Main Road at Freeborn Street at about 2:15 a.m. Uriati was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.

Fabricio Vargas Valle, 40, of 156 McCorrie Lane, was charged with disorderly conduct shortly before 2 p.m. after multiple witnesses told police they had witnessed him exposing his genitals on McCorrie Beach, police said.
