A Celebration of Nature Through Music and Poetry

We hope that you will consider attending “A Celebration of Nature Through Music and Poetry” at the Barrington Public Library on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM. This event, which will be free and open to the public, will feature the six winning poets from Notable Works’ and Crosswind Poetry’s 2024 Poetry Initiative: First Place— In Rosenlaui by Mary Ann Mayer; Second Place—Squall by Diana Cole; Third Place— Garden by Monique Cellemme and Honorable mentions— December Waking by Charron Holtzman; Tinta—with a nod to Joy Harjo— by Nancy Cook and Rhythms of Rain-by Janet E. Aalfs.
The event will begin with the Land Acknowledgement by Tracey Dancing Star Brown and there will also be a performance by the Notable Works’ Ensemble, Noreen Inglesi, Artist In Residence, Poetry Reading by David Dragone, Crosswinds Poetry, a video presentation produced by Maria Bilyeu entitled “Notable Works Presents: Connections Nurtured Through Nature’s Harmonies” and a Special Presentation by Cynthia Elder, Executive Director of the Barrington Land Conservation Trust.
