Archie T. and Kazuko Los, Tiverton

Archie T. Los, 92, of Tiverton passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020. His wife, Kazuko (Katoaka) Los, 89, passed away on Friday, Dec. 11, at their home in Tiverton

Archie and Kazuko met in Japan while he was serving in the US Navy. They were married in 1957 in Tokyo at the US Embassy. They purchased their home in Tiverton in 1967.

Kazuko was born in Japan and came to the United States in 1961 and had been employed in the garment industry in Fall River.

Archie was a Navy veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. After his retirement from the Navy, he was employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and was a civil servant at the Newport Navy Base until 1991.

Born in South Bend, Indiana, he was the son of the late Chester and Ana (Winand) Los.

Besides his wife of 63 years, he leaves a brother, Chester Los Jr., and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Miriam Hathaway and Henrietta Kuharic.
