Barrington basketball teams reach Metro-West finals

Seventh grade girls, fifth grade boys challenge for titles

Out of 86 communities and more than 1,100 teams participating in the Metro-West basketball program, Barrington had two teams reach the 2022-23 Group 4 championship games.

The seventh grade girls Gold team went 12-3 for the season and lost to Newton, Mass. 29-26 in the finals. The girls team is coached by Chris Crosby, Mike Raffa, Andrew Collins and Mike Martin.

The fifth grade boys Gold team finished 13-5 overall and reached the finals. Barrington lost to Everett, Mass. 49-39 in the championship game. The boys team is coached by Matt Antonio, Andrew Collins and Derek Daley.
