The Barrington High School girls lacrosse team will battle for the Division I State Championship this weekend.

The Eagles entered the playoffs as the second seed and will square off against Moses Brown, the top seed in the Division I playoffs. The title game is set for Saturday, June 4, at Cranston Stadium at 6:30 p.m.

Barrington opened the playoffs with an 18-8 victory over South Kingstown. In the semifinals, the Eagles held on for a 14-12 win over Lincoln School. Barrington built a large lead before Lincoln School battled back in the second half.

In the finals, Barrington will square off against Moses Brown, the defending state champion. The Quakers knocked off LaSalle in the semifinals and opened the playoffs with a 20-7 win over Middletown.

This year's Division I finals will serve as a rematch of last year's championship, which Moses Brown won 17-7.
