Details of the agreement between the Barrington School Committee and NEA-Barrington teachers union are still unclear, as the new contract has not been released to the public yet. 

Barrington Superintendent of Schools Michael Messore said that while both the school committee and teachers union have ratified the contract, the new deal has not been signed. 

In a Nov. 12 email, Mr. Messore wrote, "There are still some technical corrections that need to be completed in the initial draft, once signed it becomes a public document." 

The Barrington Times again requested a copy of the new contract on Nov. 27, but learned that it had still not been signed. Mr. Messore said that the delay is due to logistics, adding "there are no problems." 

The school committee and teachers union leaders have issued separate public statements regarding the new contract, but both parties have offered differing opinions about the contract details.
