Barrington Police are investigating a crash that occurred on the Wampanoag Trail on Sunday morning, May 19.

Police said a 16-year-old Barrington boy was driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control and flipped the Subaru he was driving. The accident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the Wampanoag Trail about a quarter-mile north of the entrance to Walker Farm.

Police said the 16-year-old’s vehicle clipped another vehicle and forced it off the road during the accident.

Police said they are checking to see if there is enough probable cause to charge the teenager with reckless driving. A teenage girl was a passenger in the 16-year-old’s vehicle. She complained of leg pain following the crash.

Police said the 16-year-old Barrington boy had a license and also had a fake ID.
