BHS girls volleyball wins three times last week

Eagles defeat Falcons, Clippers and Wizards

The Barrington High School girls volleyball team defeated Cranston West 3-0 on Monday night, Sept. 30. 

The Eagles won, 25-21, 25-18, 25-10.

Sophia Denham led the Eagles with 14 assists, 10 aces and five digs, while Claudia Leonard finished with seven kills and eight digs. The Eagles’ JV won. 2-0.

On Thursday night, Sept. 26, Barrington defeated Cumberland 3-0. The Eagles won, 25-16, 26-24, 25-13. Rachel Freshman led Barrington with nine kills, six aces, and four digs, and Ruby Ciummo had six kills and four blocks. The BHS JV won 2-0.

And on Wednesday, Sept. 26, Barrington defeated West Warwick 3-0, with the scores 25-19, 25-15, 25-7. 

Maya Etheridge finished with three kills, eight aces and five digs, and Leonard had seven kills, six digs and three aces. The BHS JV won 2-0.

Barrington is scheduled to play in a big match on Thursday, Oct. 3. The second place Eagles (8-2 record) will travel to Lincoln to play the first place Lions (8-1). The match starts at 6:15 p.m.
