The calls for sick raccoons and skunks continued last week, as seen in the log of police incidents from March 22 to 28.

Monday, March 22

Officers responded to the corner of Westwood and Greylock roads to take a report about a verbal argument at 1:20 p.m.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Reliance Drive at 2:25 p.m.

DEM was called to investigate a sick skunk on Wendy Drive at 3:16 p.m.

A resident on Massasoit Avenue called about a sick raccoon at 4:05 p.m.

A Wilson Street resident called to complain about loud music coming from an adjoining apartment at 9:45 p.m.

Tuesday, March 23

An officer spoke to a resident on Buttonwood Street following a noise complaint at 1:02 a.m.

Wednesday, March 24

Someone reported a sick raccoon on Hope Street at 9:08 a.m.

A Beach Road caller reported items stolen from their vehicle at 10:54 a.m.

A rabid raccoon was euthanized on Usher Terrace at 12:35 p.m.

A sick raccoon was reported on Cedar Drive at 1:14 p.m.

Police were called back to Usher Terrace for another report of a sick raccoon. The animal control officer determined this one was not rabid.

A resident complained to police about a neighbor on High Street repairing motorcycles at 9:02 p.m. The person told an officer they had been changing a tire.

Thursday, March 25

A woman called the station at 1:27 a.m. with lots of yelling in the background and then hung up. Police called back and the woman said there was no problem and she did not want police to respond. They did and ended up arresting Valdemiro S. Loras, 36, of 5 Wilson St., Apt. 3, Bristol, on a Superior Court warrant. He was processed at the station and released.

A Coggeshall Avenue resident called police about a raccoon at 9:48 a.m. An officer determined that it appeared healthy.

A Buttonwood Street resident called about a sick skunk at 9:48 a.m.

There was another raccoon call from Coggeshall Avenue at 10:34 a.m.

Police documented a large pothole on Gooding Avenue. DOT reported it is the responsibility of National Grid.

A resident filed a report about buying fake sneakers at 4:59 p.m.

Vehicles with broken mirrors were reported on High Street at 6:12 p.m.

A caller reported a red pickup truck doing doughnuts in the parking lot at the Quinta-Gamelin Community Center at 9:20 p.m. and said a rock kicked up by the truck shattered their back window. Officers responded and found the suspect vehicle but it was parked an unoccupied.

Friday, March 26

A caller reported loud music on Francis Street at 1:34 a.m. A patrolman responded and found no problem.

A patrolman euthanized a sick animal reported on Hope Street at 7:17 a.m.

The animal control officer called a patrolman to assist with a sick animal on King Philip Avenue at 12:26 p.m.

An officer spoke to a man who was going door to door and soliciting on Terrace Drive at 6:46 p.m.

A patrolman spoke to four people at a Franklin Street residence after a loud music complaint at 9:54 p.m.

Saturday, March 27

A Bradford Street caller complained of loud music at 4:38 a.m.

A sick skunk was reported at 8:02 a.m. on Hopeworth Avenue.

A sick skunk was reported at 1:28 p.m. on Violet Court.

A caller reported a man in his fifties wearing a black hoodie who approached a group of juveniles playing near the pavilion area at Coelho Park, off Jenny Lane, at 3:54 p.m. After determining the man was intoxicated, an officer called rescue to the scene and the man was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

A patrolman spoke with two people on Duffield Road after police received a complaint about loud music at 6:22 p.m. They agreed to turn it down.

Police received a complaint about a silver pickup being driven around the Annawamscutt Drive area and honking its horn at 10:36 p.m.

Sunday, March 28

Brendan T. Hicks, 25, of Worcester, Mass., was charged with DUI, possession of narcotics and refusal to submit to a chemical test at 6:54 a.m. on Hope Street.

An officer spoke to the offending party after police received a loud noise complaint on Primrose Drive at 12:02 a.m.

A Ryan Avenue caller complained about a tenant making loud noise at 1:05 a.m.

A caller reported people outside making loud noise in the area of High and Williams streets at 3:37 a.m.

A Constitution Street caller reported a sick skunk at 12:23 p.m.
