Bruce Joseph Abenante, 54, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2015, surrounded by his family. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Frank and Joyce (Tivey) Abenante Perry.
Mr. Abenante served briefly in the U.S. Army. Bruce has owned both a catering and carpeting and tiling company. His interests included Harley Davidsons, animals, scuba diving, and he loved his family very much. He was a member of the New Hope Christian Church in Swansea.
He leaves a sister, Kym Thurber, of Bristol, and a step-father, Edmund S. Perry. He was the brother of the late Frank Abenante Jr. He also leaves his nieces, Jennifer Gomes, Kelly Abenante and Kristen Teixeira; and nephews, Shawn and Matthew Thurber.
