Cecilia Louise (Duval) Cairrao, 92, of Dreadnaught Avenue, Bristol, passed away on March 3, 2021, at home. She was the wife of the late Armindo “Lou” Cairrao.
Born in Wauregan, Conn., she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Evelyn (Goven) Duval. She is survived by her children: Jan Iacovelli and her husband Michael; Joyce Grabert; Elaine Vollaro and her husband Paul; John Cairrao and his wife Ginny; and Dave Cairrao and his wife Nicole, all of Bristol; grandchildren: Melissa A. Treeman, Michael D. Iacovelli, Ryan C. Grabert, Joshua S. Grabert, Paul Vollaro, Jr., Barry L. Vollaro, Allison E. Moura, Matthew J. Cairrao, Olivia M. Cairrao, Blake R. Cairrao, and Brooke E. Cairrao; and great-grandchildren: Mikayla, Maxwell, Aidan, Emerson, Maeve, Claire, Charlie, Brittany, Brianna, Hailey, Mason, Edie, Sydney and Jameson. She was the sister of Margaret Davis of Florida, Raymond Duval of Connecticut and the late Romeo “Sonny” Duval and Eileen Theroux.
Mrs. Cairrao was a graduate of Plainfield High School, Class of 1946, and employed by Standard Pharmacy. She was a homemaker to her husband and children and thoroughly enjoyed cooking for her family and their friends. Some of her fondest memories were of the times she spent with all of them. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
Her funeral services were held March 9 from the George Lima Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Mary’s Church.
