Corrie Leigh DaLuz

Bristol R.I.

Political platform statement

Why I am running for this office: I have spent about the last two years attending school committee and sub committee meetings. I have had one child graduate from the district and another currently in 3rd grade. I have navigated the special education system and have knowledge on IEP and 504 policy. I have been a healthcare worker for 18 years.

With all of those aspects I feel I have a good knowledge of the districts strengths and weakness and where improvements can be made. In the current state of the world with Covid I have the health background that provides insight into infection control and universal precautions that are an important aspect of keeping students and staff safe while allowing the best learning environment possible.

I pledge to work to make every student and their families voices heard. I’m running my campaign on integrity. I am not asking for any donations. Any payment for my position that I receive if I gain a committee seat will be donated back to the district and back to the students for any supplies, services, or programs that need it. Thank you.
