The Barrington High School boys ice hockey team will play against Burrillville in a single-elimination playoff game on Tuesday night, Feb. 23. The game will be played at Burrillville at 7 p.m.

Barrington earned a spot in the Division I playoffs for the second consecutive year. This year, the Eagles finished the regular season in sixth place with a record of 3-4-2. A win over Burrillville would advance Barrington into a semifinal game on Friday, Feb. 26.

Barrington finished the regular season with a hard-fought 2-2 tie against East Greenwich on Saturday night. The Eagles started the game a bit slowly, and trailed 2-0 after two periods. But Barrington rallied for its seniors — the Eagles were celebrating Senior Night on Saturday — and scored two third-period goals. Junior Brenen Gazeryan scored off assists from seniors Callum Flaherty and Owen Crain. And BHS senior Mikey Cox tied the game up with a goal later in the period. Junior Sam Faulkner and Crain assisted on the goal.

Barrington High School freshman Cam Siwik played a stellar game in net, finishing with 39 saves.

Barrington’s seniors are Crain, Flaherty, Cox, Jackson Gorman, Bobby Ide, and Will Ide.

Earlier in the week, Barrington dropped a 4-1 game to powerhouse LaSalle Academy. Barrington’s lone goal came off the stick of Faulkner, and was assisted by Flaherty and Crain. Siwik played well in net, stopping 41 LaSalle shots.
