The Barrington High School girls soccer team tied Portsmouth and defeated Mt. Hope in league games this week.
On Wednesday night, Sept. 11, the Eagles outscored the Huskies 4-3. Bailey Duncan netted two goals for Barrington while Lena Pilipski and Liv Morrissette also scored. Faith Van Ness and Zoe Dyer shared goaltending duties for the Eagles.
On Monday night, Sept. 9, Barrington tied Portsmouth 1-1. Both teams’ goals came on penalty kicks. Pilipski netted the PK for Barrington 28 minutes into the game.
Barrington Coach Marty Hollands said he has been pleased with his team’s play so far this season.
“A solid start to the season with two wins and two ties,” Hollands said. “Playing creative and entertaining soccer. We hope to build off these results.”
Barrington will play at LaSalle Academy on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 6:30 p.m.
