EAST PROVIDENCE — East Providence Police have identified the three suspects in an armed robbery attempt Tuesday morning, July 16, in the area of James Street between Broadway and Massasoit and Central Avenues.

The incident is alleged to have occurred after a transaction between a private party and the trio went awry. The suspects were positively identified by the victim and brought to the EPPD headquarters to be processed. Additionally, all three are being held on ICE detainers due to illegal re-entry into the United States.

The suspects are as follows:

Abel Nolasco, 38, of Bronx, New York

David Ramos, 34, of Bronx, New York

Alex Manuel Jesus Marte, 28, of Providence

All three suspects have been charged with the following criminal offenses;
1. First Degree Robbery
2. Conspiracy
3. License Required to Carry a Firearm
4. Discharging a Firearm While Committing a Crime
5. Discharging a Firearm from a Motor Vehicle
6. Possession of Large Capacity Feeding Device
7. Receiving Stolen Goods
8. Firing in a Compact Area
9. Disorderly Conduct
