After a quick start to the season, the East Providence High School boys' lacrosse team has run into a rough patch, including a 15-4 loss to host Tiverton Wednesday night, April 24.
Keigan Grant scored two of the Townies' tallies while Zach Kollett and Brandon Botelho added the others. Simon Palumbo was credited with two assists while Sam Jackson and Nolan Travassos each had one.
Seth Aguiar and Miles Cormier each scored four times for the victorious Tigers, who outshot EP 33-13.
Tiverton improved to 3-2 in the Division IV standings while East Providence dropped to 2-6. The Tigers completed a season sweep of EP, having defeated the Townies by an 11-8 count earlier in the spring in East Providence.
