Bristol staged its 233rd Fourth of July celebration on Wednesday, under hot, sunny skies with thousands of people lining the two-and-a-half-mile parade route. Besides the heat, a theme for the day was welcomed interaction between spectators and marchers, including selfies, dancing, hugging and collaborative performances.
Spectators weren't afraid to jump up and join the action, and marchers laughed and made room for them throughout the day.
