One of Rhode Island's grand traditions continues this weekend, with the Gaspee Days celebration, capped by the Gaspee Days Parade on Saturday, June 8.
Since 1965, the Gaspee Days Committee has continued its efforts to preserve, promote, and share Rhode Island’s revolutionary history with the community. Each year, friends and neighbors crowd along a two-mile stretch of Narragansett Parkway in Warwick, R.I., anxiously awaiting the march of the parade, which includes fife and drums corps, fire trucks, Shriners in their miniature cars, and more. The parade begings at 10 a.m.
