It is with great sadness that the family of John H. Marshall, 79, of Bristol, R.I., passed away peacefully in his sleep, after a long illness, on April 8, 2021.
John was born in Providence, R.I., on Nov. 17, 1941, to the late John and Sylvena Marshall.
He leaves three children, John Marshall and his wife Aileen, of Richmond, R.I. and Todd and Wendy Marshall, of Bristol, R.I. He also leaves four grandchildren and on great-grandchild, Laila Howard.
He is predeceased by two sisters and one brother. He leaves one brother behind.
John owned his own excavating business for over 60 years. He loved his work and developed many memories with his children and grandchildren, with his various equipment. His passions in life were his family, friends and his work.
In his free time, he took pleasure in riding around and spending time with those important in his life. His hobby was collecting train sets, that he loved to play with his grandchildren.
He will be missed by all who knew him. He was kind at heart and helped anyone in need.
Memorial services will be at St. Mary's Church in Bristol, R.I. at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021, with a burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
