Joseph A. Aguiar, 60, Bristol

Joseph A. Aguiar, 60, of Johnston and formerly of Bristol, died July 25, at Rhode Island Hospital after a long illness. He was the companion of Kathleen, also of Johnston, for 30 years.

Born in Providence in 1953, he was the son of Elizabeth (Francis) and the late John H. Aguiar.  He leaves a daughter, Sara; three grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Rene (husband Edward) of Bristol; and two brothers, John (wife Marie) of Barrington, and David Aguiar of Warren.

Mr. Aguiar worked for a number of years for Patriot Hauling. He was loved by many. He was known for his cheerful spirit and big smile, which made him countless friends.
