For the people who are not familiar with Congregational Street, it is a narrow, one-way street connecting Wood and High streets.
Negotiating and parking has always been an adventure that usually required curb jumping and long waits while delivery trucks make their rounds.
The last time significant work was done it was in the 1940s by the WPA. (For our younger readers, WPA was an abbreviation for the Work Projects Administration enacted by President Franklin D.Roosevelt.)
So with a new design in hand, D’Ambra Construction set out to rebuild Congregational street. The purpose of this note is to acknowledge the men and women of D’Ambra who do not always get the recognition they deserve.
All the workers were considerate, polite and professional. They listened to all the residents’ concerns and questions and tried their best to accommodate everyone.
Hats off to D’Ambra Construction for a job well done!
