Apparently your editorial struck a nerve with town councilor Steve Boyajian regarding town manager Jim Cunha.

Councilor Boyajian was quick to defend Mr. Cunha’s action and leadership role while bashing the Times. Thank God for First Amendment.

I am not questioning Mr. Cunha’s leadership role at this time. I am questioning his thoughts on growing the municipal side of the budget through increases and employment growth.

According to the Times (April 29, 2020), councilor Boyajian does not want to make any cuts. Two men — councilor Boyajian and town manager Mr. Cunha — appear to have the same line of thought to continue or increase spending.

Is there anyone looking out for the taxpayer in this economic downturn?

Thank you Barrington Times for your editorial(s), keep up the good work.
