To the editor:
I'm writing to express my concern about the growing political division in our community and its impact on our ability to address important issues.
In recent years, I've noticed more polarization among residents, even in everyday conversations and social media exchanges. As a community, we pride ourselves on working together for everyone's benefit. However, the current political climate threatens this unity. Instead of finding common ground, we're getting more stuck in our political camps, leading to gridlock and tension.
We need to create an environment where respectful dialogue and cooperation are encouraged, regardless of political views. Understanding and empathy should guide our discussions, not division and conflict. By listening to each other and seeking compromise, we can find solutions to our challenges. I urge our leaders and residents to prioritize unity and collaboration as we face these difficult times. Let's come together, despite our differences, to build a stronger, more inclusive community for future generations.
Sincerely,
Cameron Savinon
