To the editor:
Vice President Kamala Harris recently excoriated Russia for committing crimes against humanity by their bombing and killing innocent civilians in Ukraine. Her statement is absolutely true, and Russia should be held accountable.
Unfortunately, the Vice President failed to equally condemn the widespread crimes against humanity in America in the deaths of millions of innocent children killed by abortion.
The civilians in Ukraine can at least cry out in protest and can try to run from the deadly danger. Unborn individual children in America have neither a voice to be heard nor a way to escape the abortionist’s tools.
A just society should require that any and every innocent human life be protected and nourished, whatever their age or wherever they live.
That said, the radical leftist politicians in the General Assembly are now promoting legislation this year to spend our taxes to pay for elective abortions for women receiving Medicaid and state employees.
Many Rhode Islanders vehemently oppose such arrogant misuse of our tax contributions, and we urge all our representatives to reject this heinous legislation.
