Manuel L. Oliveira, 73, of Warren, died Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at home.

He was born in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, a son of the late Jose and Maria Gloria (Serpa) Oliveira.

Manuel was a mason for all of his life, and was the owner of Professional Handy Work for over 30 years. He had lived in Warren since 1972, coming from Portugal. He was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, a life member of the Warren Soccer Club, and was an an excellent domino and card player.

He is survived by his former wife, Maria Beatriz Oliveira of Bristol. He was the father of Ana Silva and her husband Scott of Warren, and Maria Ferreira and her husband Steve of Bristol. Manuel was the brother of Jose Oliveira, Jose Avelino, Gertrude Costa and Mercedes Avila, all of Terceira, Azores.

He was the grandfather of Carly Ferreira, Matthew Ferreira, and the stepgrandfather of Katelyn Silva and Sean Silva. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., Warren. Burial will follow in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery Warren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling hours are Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am.
