Mary B. (Stockton) Rogers, 86, of Warren, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020 at Silver Creek Manor in Bristol.
She was the wife of the late John A. Rogers.

She was born in Warren, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Ella (Kentile) Stockton.
Mary was a cashier/clerk for the Cumberland Farms Stores for many years.

She was a lifelong Warren resident, and a parishioner of the former St. Jean the Baptiste Church, St. Thomas Church and St. Mary of the Bay Church.

Mary loved caring for house plants, embroidery, sewing, being home and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her children, John A. Rogers Jr. of Riverside, Steven M. Rogers of Blackshear, Georgia, Mary Ella Francis of Bristol, Betty Ann Rogers of Warwick, and Susan M. Cannon of Taunton MA.

Mary was the grandmother of eight and the great-grandmother of 11,. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mary was the sister of the late Clifford Stockton, Ellen Stockton, Ella Barry, Irene Sousa and Edna Lesino.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020 at 10 am at St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St., Warren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Social distancing rules apply to all who will be attending.

Burial will be private. Calling hours and flowers are omitted.

Gifts in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 306 Waterman St., Providence, RI 02906.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
