After all the votes were counted a second time, each of the two candidates vying for the last spot on the Little Compton Town Council gained two more votes. Democrat Andrew Iriarte-Moore went from 978 votes to 980. Republican Maureen Rego went from 973 to 975 votes. But nothing changed in the final outcome.
Moore retains his seat on the town council, holding off the challenger by five votes. Rego requested the recount, which the Rhode Island Board of Elections conducted on Friday.
