Nancy Marie (Yared) Casimiro, 76, of Monterey Drive, passed away on Aug. 22. She was the wife of the late Charles Casimiro.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late George and Philomena (Cardoza) Yared. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and a secretary at Raytheon for 30 years before retiring. Nancy was a volunteer at Women & Infants Hospital and a supporter of animal societies. She was an avid bowler and part of the competitive league at East Providence Lanes.
She is survived by her nephew, Joseph A. Fernandes and his wife Tracy; niece Melissa Fernandes; uncle Herb Yerid; and cousin Herb Yerid Jr.
Her funeral services were held Aug. 27 from the George Lima Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Richard Narciso and concelebrated by Rev. Paul O’Mally SSC at St. Elizabeth Church. Liturgical readings were by Crystal DeFreitas and Debbie Henrich. The offertory gifts were presented by Trudy Delude and Kimberely Dufficy. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Bill Hendrich, John Dziedrich, Michael Harris, Larry Harris, Charles Martin and John Foster.
