Newport 'Polar Plunge' benefits A Wish Come True

Posted

It's not unusual to see thousands of people gathered at noon on New Year's Day at Easton's Beach in Newport for the annual Polar Plunge. For the past two decades, the tradition has been held to benefit A Wish Come True, which this year is raising money to send two local children to Disney theme parks in Florida.

The plunge will take place at 12 p.m. on Jan. 1, 2023. The Pre-Party starts at 9:30 a.m. at nearby Rejects Beer Co., where the after-party starts at 1 p.m.
