The Mt. Hope Spring Concert was performed outdoors in front of a large crowd with folding chairs and umbrellas, in the senior parking lot on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The String Ensemble, conducted by Virginia Boyle, played, "Brook Green Suite,” by Gustav Holst and "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik,” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The guitar ensemble also directed by Ms. Boyle, performed, “Ronde, My Friend,” arranged by Larry VanMersbergen and “Merengue,” by Richard Charlton.
The vocal ensemble conducted by David Lauria, sang “Shoshone Love Song” and “Here Comes The Sun,” with piano accompaniment by Jim Ascoli. The chorus/vocal ensemble also directed by Mr. Lauria, sang “Budapest” and “Africa.”
The concert and symphonic band directed by Christopher Lambert, played “Adrenaline Engines,” by Randall Standridge, “You’ve got a Friend in Me,” by Newman and Higgins and “Majestia,” by James Swearingen.
