The Puddingstone music series continues in September by welcoming The Passero Trio to Greenvale Vineyards for an early evening concert on Sunday, Sept. 15. Much like February’s sold-out concert at Gardiner House in Newport and the “Harmonies in Motion” recital at Newport Art Museum, this performance will combine performing and non-performing arts in an approachable, 19th-century-style salon.

“Kaleidoscope” begins at 5:30 p.m. at Puddingstone’s first ever concert location, Greenvale Vineyards, with an enthralling program. “Kaleidoscope” conveys the idea of a rich and varied artistic and musical experience with different styles and eras coming together in a vibrant and dynamic way. The trio offers a great range of musical forms and shifting perspectives within the program, much like how a kaleidoscope presents ever-changing patterns and colors: from Johann Michael Haydn’s “Divertimento in C”, to Piazolla’s “Oblivion” and Erwin Schulhoff’s “Concertino” and more.

 The Passero Trio are Diane Spoto (flute), Alexander Vavilov (viola) and Tony D’Amico (double bass). The members of this ensemble perform together and individually in various orchestras in the New England area, including the Boston Philharmonic, Boston Pops, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Boston Lyric Opera, Portland Symphony Orchestra, Cape Symphony Orchestra and the Portland Symphony.

Romanian-born American painter Oana Lauric will embrace the nautical theme inherent to Aquidneck Island by showcasing her original paintings. Having spent a decade living and working in Paris, France, Lauric has exhibited her work in numerous galleries over the years. A longtime member of The Copley Society of Art in Boston, her art is featured in private and corporate collections worldwide.
